School Superintendent - Mrs. Zeina Sabbagh

Welcome to Northwest Bilingual School!

As The Superintendent of Northwest Bilingual School, I would like to welcome you all as we look forward to beginning a new year of learning with our wonderful students.  Here at Northwest Bilingual School we view learning as a life-long endeavor with the pre-school and elementary years serving as one of the most critical foundations to inspire students along that journey to high school and beyond.  We are proud to adhere to our school’s mission, “…to instill a passion for learning, building character and inspiring civic and social responsibility”…”and “incorporating within our curriculum an understanding of and respect for Arabic language and Islamic values within our global society.
The link between school and home is a critical component to a child’s success at school. Therefore, our schools offer a variety of means to communicate effectively; our Northwest Website, School Student Information System (SIS), Classroom DOJO, classroom newsletters and communication books, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Blogs, email, phone, etc. We have an open door policy for our campus and welcome you to contact us to share your thoughts or concerns.  Just send an electronic message or stop in to the Receptionist Lobby and they will set up an appointment to meet with any of our staff when they are available.
We feel very honored and privileged to serve the Northwest school community. We anticipate a year filled with many new friendships and wonderful learning opportunities for our students and for all of us! Elementary Vice Principal  - Mr. Adnan Zaid

Dear Northwest Bilingual School Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as your new elementary vice principal. I am deeply honored to work at Northwest Bilingual School with its respectable standing and sustained culture of academic excellence. I will work hard to maintain the legacy of success already established here at the Northwest Bilingual School. I am committed to working in a partnership with Ms. Fatima, the students, the parents, and the staff to nurture the academic, social, and emotional development of each of our students.

I am thrilled and privileged to be a part of this wonderful community. I have ten years educational experience spanning grades 1-7, with a specific concentration in elementary teacher education and technology education. I have taught third grade, fifth grade, and supported teachers in grades 1-7 in technology integration and curriculum implementation. I have also worked as a grade level coordinator for the third, fifth and seventh grade.

On a personal note, my wife and I are the proud parents of four beautiful children. They are our pride and joy and make me smile every single day. Rest assured your children are in good hands as I will always keep their best interests in mind – just as I would for my own four children.

I am passionate, energetic, and love what I do! As we continue to encourage families to be partners in the educational process, my door will always be open. I look forward to meeting the wonderful students and families of Northwest Bilingual School as we start the 2020-2021 school year.

Middle and High School Dean of Students/Curriculum Coordinator  - Mrs. Tracey Randall-Wesley

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Curriculum Coordinator/Dean of Students of the MHS department. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with staff, students, and parents in this capacity. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than a decade. My administrative experience spans for more than five years. I have worked with a variety of curriculums including Common Core Standards, North Carolina State Standards, New York State Standards, and the Virginia State Standards. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Northwest Bilingual School in this newly appointed position and work with you, the administration team, and colleagues as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established by Northwest in building strong relationships with parents, students, and stakeholders.  We will focus on character education initiatives, Virginia State skills, the use of data to drive instruction, and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all of the students' achievement.

All of us at Northwest Bilingual School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the most integrated technological year ever.  This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your Curriculum Coordinator, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-understand and are aware of the curriculum that we are providing for our students. This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door is always open, and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have regarding the curriculum throughout the school year.

I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Northwest Bilingual School meet their goals and have a successful school year!
